Hidekazu Furuya - Midterm concept
* My concept about audience’s experience
When I played the live performance, I concentrated on saying lines I wrote on ahead and couldn’t be conscious of audience’s reaction. Based on this experience, if audience memorizes the lines before they watch video and they say them watching it, they can be involved as if they become the characters in the video. This is my aim.
I editted my performance. Watching this, I noticed I was reading the lines in my mind rather than acting, NOT ad-lib.
*My question
When I made the photograph video last week, I was interested in what American people felt about the historical perspective of Japanese. I guess that American perspective about Pacific War is different from Japanese one, because the United States was the winner and Japan was the loser. At the same time, both nations have regarded themselves as a victim, as the author of our reading assignment says. Therefore I want to ask to my audience whether there are right and wrong in the reason the nations war.
*Assumed process (I haven’t decided on work timeline precisely.)
I’d like to provide my own perspective as a Japanese under the theme of Hiroshima.
First, I’m reserching the record of conversation among the crew of “Enola Gay”, which dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
This record will be the script which I want the audience to memorize.
Then, I’ll collect suitable footages for making the video, which are easy for the audience to roleplay.
*My wish
Now, I have no idea how I can calculate the timing of saying the lines.
It will take a lot of time to edit it.
I’d like you to give me some good advice and try the video with saying lines.
And I want to know what you think of Pacific War.
